If an Alaska Resident purchased a vehicle from your dealership,

you will need to provide the following:

1. The ownership document:

   	Manufacturer Certificate of Origin (MCO) or
   	Manufacturer Statement of Origin (MSO) or
   	Title - signed off and/or re-assigned correctly

2. Completed Alaska Application for Title and Registration
3. If the customer is in the military, stationed outside Alaska, a current copy of their Leave and Earning Statement
4. Fees due

   	DMV registration fee (see Fees)
   	$15.00 DMV title fee
   	$15.00 DMV lien recording fee
   	Tax due (see Taxes) Note: There is no tax due if customer is military stationed outside AK
   	$30.00 processing fee

Once the transaction is complete, all documents will be mailed back to the dealership OR the title to the lien holder (if applicable) and the plates and registration will be mailed directly to the customer. Instructions from the dealership need to specify where the documents should be mailed.

Please, do not mail certified letters. If you need your transaction returned overnight, include a pre-paid envelope with your transactions.
