If you are in the military, stationed outside of Alaska, and need to title and register your vehicle in Alaska,
 

you will need the following:

1. The ownership document:

   	Manufacturer Certificate of Origin (MCO) or
   	Manufacturer Statement of Origin (MSO) or
   	Title - signed off and/or re-assigned correctly

2. Completed Alaska Application for Title and Registration *
3. A current copy of your Leave and Earning Statement (LES)
4. Fees due

   	DMV registration fee (see Fees)
   	$15.00 DMV title fee
   	$15.00 DMV lien recording fee
   	$30.00 processing fee

*NOTE: #3 and #4 on the application form will be an address outside Alaska

Once the transaction is complete, the title will be mailed back to the lien holder (if applicable) and the plates, registration, stickers and copy of the title are mailed directly to you.

Please, do not mail certified letters. If you need your transaction returned overnight, include a pre-paid envelope with your transactions.
